After an intense weekend of tennis in Stowe, the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas semifinals in association with Grand Slam Tennis Tours came down to the doubles match on Sunday afternoon. After winning both her singles matches against Nadia Petrova on Saturday and Anna Chakvetadze on Sunday, Venus Williams teamed up with Lisa Raymond against the Russian pairing of Nadia Petrova and Elena Vesnina with the overall score at 2 and 2. It was an incredibly close match and each point well fought, but the Russians ended up taking home the win for both the match and the weekend. They will now face Italy who won 3-2 against France in the Finals.
